REACH Components
The regulation will require:
- Registration of chemicals to obtain relevant information and data to manage them safely.
- Evaluation of chemicals to ensure industry meets obligations and to prevent unnecessary testing.
- Authorisation of chemicals if risks are adequately controlled, socio-economic benefits outweigh risks and no suitable alternative substitute substances or technologies exist.
- Restriction in the use of chemicals to manage risks that have not been adequately addressed by another part of the Reach system.
